Final Ratings: New PGA Tour Opener Sees Lower Audience On Golf Channel

Golf Channel averaged 187,000 viewers for live coverage of the final round of the PGA Tour Frys.com Open last Sunday from 4:58-8:38pm ET, which was the first tournament on the Tour’s new wraparound schedule. That figure is down from 242,000 viewers for the event’s final round last year, when it was part of the former Fall Series. The Tour’s season-opening event last season -- the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in January -- averaged 325,000 viewers for the final round on a Monday night.

The charts below list final ratings from recent sports telecasts.
