MSG "Bridges" Revealed In Photos, With More Than 400 New Seats

Newly released photos of MSG "show the centerpiece of the arena’s renovation -- two revolutionary glass-walled seating 'bridges' attached to the roof that hold 430 seats, each going for $110 to $210," according to Jennifer Gould Keil of the N.Y. POST. The bridges "include walkways behind the seats for fans to stroll along" and "can hold a total of 900 people." The bridge seats are "94 feet away from the arena floor -- about the same distance as existing front-row seats." The north bridge has "355 seats and the south bridge 75, plus space for media." BBB Architects Principal Murray Beynon, whose firm designed the renovation, said that the bridges are "meant to resemble the suspension bridges that connect Manhattan to the mainland and outer boroughs." Beynon added that one of the project’s "biggest challenges was integrating the bridge with the stadium’s distinct curved interior" (N.Y. POST, 10/14).
