Overnight Ratings: Ohio State-Northwestern Leads CFB; Presidents Cup Finale Flat

ABC’s Ohio State-Northwestern matchup on Saturday night led all college football games over the weekend with a 4.8 overnight, up 60% from a 3.0 for the comparable Nebraska-Ohio State game last year. CBS drew a 3.6 overnight for Georgia’s OT win over Tennessee in the 3:30pm ET window, down 23% from LSU-Florida last year. NBC aired Arizona State-Notre Dame in primetime on Saturday, earning a 2.5 overnight, which is up slightly from a 2.4 rating for Miami-Notre Dame in primetime last year. ESPN’s top college game of the weekend was a 1.9 overnight for Washington-Stanford, which aired from 10:45pm-2:00am. ESPN earned a 1.3 overnight for its “College GameDay” show from 10:00am-12:00pm. The show aired from the campus of Northwestern. Meanwhile, in the same window, FS1 earned a 0.0 overnight for “College Football Saturday.”

TEE IT UP: NBC earned a 2.5 overnight for the final day of the Presidents Cup yesterday, flat compared to coverage in ’09, which was the last time the event was held in the U.S. Coverage on Saturday earned a 2.2 overnight, down 12%.
