Executive Transactions

The Bruins signed GM PETER CHIARELLI to a four-year contract extension through the '17-18 season (Bruins). What has been "pretty remarkable" about Chiarelli's seven-year run as GM is his "ability to keep the team together for so long below the salary cap" (CBSSPORTS.com, 8/29). Chiarelli had “one year remaining on his existing deal” (BOSTON HERALD, 8/30).
