MLS Attendance Down 3% To Date; Chivas USA Seeing 34% Drop At StubHub Center

MLS teams are averaging 18,076 fans per game through Aug. 1, down 3% compared to the same period last year. The league is still seeing a drop for the season, but attendance has recovered somewhat from early May, when the average was down around 8%. Chivas USA continues to see a sharp drop at StubHub Center, with average attendance down 34%. The club is well under 10,000 fans per game, with capacity only at 46%. Also seeing double-digit percentage drops at home are the Fire and Impact. FC Dallas and the Revolution are seeing the biggest gains to date, up 11% and 10%, respectively. Listed below is team-by-team attendance through Aug. 1, with comparisons to the same period last season (THE DAILY).
