Penn State Associate AD/Marketing & Communications GREG MYFORD is leaving the school to join IMG College as the company's Southeast Region Associate VP. He will be responsible for managing properties in Florida and parts of Alabama. Included in this portfolio are Florida, Florida State, UCF, USF, South Alabama and Troy. Myford also will be the IMG College liaison to Miami, in a shared multimedia rights venture with Learfield Sports. Myford, whose first day will be Aug. 19, had been at PSU since '04. He will report to IMG Southeast Regional VP TRACY WHITE (IMG College).

IN A NEW YORK MINUTE
: The Knicks "elected not to renew the contract" of longtime scout SCOTT MCGUIRE, after 25 years with the organization. Scott is the son of late Basketball HOFer DICK MCGUIRE, and the family's association with the Knicks "dates back to the late 1940s." Scott's contract was set to expire this past Wednesday, but a source said that he was "informed in January that his pact would not be renewed" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 8/2).
