The Florida-based PAC formed by Dolphins Owner STEPHEN ROSS "mailed attack fliers late last week to voters in the districts of state Reps. MICHAEL BILECA, JOSE FELIX DIAZ and CARLOS TRUJILLO, all Miami Republicans who opposed" $350M in public funds that would have aided the renovation for Sun Life Stadium. Bileca and Trujillo were "perhaps the loudest local voices opposing the stadium plan." Ross "has given up on making a push for the bill in next year's legislative session, when the same lawmakers will still be in office." Instead, he is "taking aim at next fall's elections, perhaps intent on trying for the stadium renovations again with new lawmakers beginning in 2015." Ross "first indicated that he would dive into Florida legislative politics on the night the session ended in Tallahassee without a House vote on the Dolphins' bill" (MIAMI HERALD, 6/25).

WHITE COLLAR CRIME
: Former USFL President & CEO and Oceanic Enterprises COO JAIME CUADRA yesterday in a San Diego court pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $1M from two local companies and "using the money primarily to fund" the USFL. He pleaded guilty to "wire fraud and filing a false federal income tax return in connection with the embezzlement from Oceanic and its parent company" (UTSANDIEGO.com, 6/24)

BOOKSHELF: Tennis HOFer JOHN MCENROE has an "agreement with Little, Brown and Company for a book, currently untitled, that's scheduled for 2014." The book will "focus on his years as a businessman and tennis broadcaster" (AP, 6/24)....Redskins QB KIRK COUSINS’ book “GAME CHANGER: FAITH, FOOTBALL, & FINDING YOUR WAY” is being released today by Zondervan (DETROITNEWS.com, 6/24). 

NAMES: Incoming Pro Football HOFer BILL PARCELLS has been named to the ’13 class of the New Jersey HOF (NJ.com, 6/24)....UFC fighter ANDERSON SILVA “landed his first big role in a zombie thriller that begins filming this summer” in Dallas (TORONTO SUN, 6/25)....Oracle Founder & CEO LARRY ELLISON plans to build a 50-acre tennis academy on the island of Lanai in Hawaii (BIZJOURNALS.com, 6/21)....MLSE Chair LARRY TANENBAUM yesterday announced a C$35M gift to the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute. It is his "largest single philanthropic gift" and is "designed to be a magnet for further giving," with C$15M to be matched by other donors to establish 15 research chairs (GLOBE & MAIL, 6/25)....A Multnomah County (Ore.) jury on Thursday granted former Li Ning Sports USA employee MARK MCMILLAN $830,000 in non-economic damages and $420,000 in economic damages after agreeing that he was "wrongfully denied a promotion." McMillan filed a lawsuit accusing Li Ning execs of "discriminating against an American employee, calling him derogatory names and rescinding a promised promotion" (OREGONLIVE.com, 6/21)....A’s Exec VP & GM BILLY BEANE last week listed his Danville, Calif., home for $1.895M. Beane and his wife, TARA, reportedly bought "the 4,836-square-foot mansion" for $1.735M in ’02 (CSNBAYAREA.com, 6/21).
