IMG Hires Action Sports Agent Carl Harris, Gets His Roster Of Clients

IMG has hired longtime action sports agent Carl Harris and landed his roster of clients, which is headlined by 14-year-old Japanese snowboard star Ayumu Hirano. Hirano made news this year when he earned an X Games Silver Medal in the superpipe competition and second place at the Burton U.S. Open of Snowboarding Championships. The last 14 year old to achieve that type of competitive success in snowboarding was Shaun White. Hirano and Harris will be working with IMG VP/Action Sports Mark Ervin, White's former agent. Harris comes to IMG from Ookii Co Athlete Management & Marketing, where he spent three years there as president. Prior to that he worked for VAS Entertainment, MTV, Swatch Group and Burton Snowboards. In addition to Hirano, Harris is bringing U.S. Open of Snowboarding champion Kazu Kokubo to IMG.
