A development group that includes former NFLer and MLBer BO JACKSON is "responsible for the cost" of constructing a 114,000-square-foot domed sports center in Hilliard, Ohio. Hilliard Economic Development Dir DAVID MEEKS said that Jackson's group is "wrapping up details on financing" for the $5.4M project. The complex will "house training programs for youth in football, baseball and softball." Bo Jackson's Elite Sports "operates a similar center in Lockport, Ill., near Chicago" (COLUMBUS BUSINESS FIRST, 4/26 issue).

SEMINOLE MOMENT: Florida State football coach JIMBO FISHER "made his first public appearance" with former coach BOBBY BOWDEN since Bowden's "controversial ouster three year ago." The two "teamed up Sunday for a fundraiser in Birmingham, Ala." Fisher and his wife, CANDI, were joined by Alabama coach NICK SABAN and his wife TERRY, at an event that benefited Kidz1stFund. The non-profit, led by Terry Saban, "raises money and awareness about the rare disease Fanconi anemia." The event "raised nearly $100,000" (ORLANDOSENTINEL.com, 4/29).

COURT REPORT: A Knoxville judge yesterday decided against blocking Browns Owner and Pilot Flying J CEO JIMMY HASLAM III from "reaching out to trucking companies that might have been victimized by a rebate fraud scheme" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 4/30)....Former MLBer MARK GRACE has "about six weeks left of his four-month sentence" for a DUI conviction. Maricopa (Ariz.)
