The Orioles’ tribute on Saturday to late Baseball HOFer EARL WEAVER included testimonials from Baseball HOFers BROOKS ROBINSON and CAL RIPKEN, former Orioles C RICK DEMPSEY, Orioles manager BUCK SHOWALTER, Baseball HOF President JEFF IDELSEN and MIKE WEAVER, Earl Weaver’s son, who also threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the team's game against the Dodgers (Baltimore SUN, 4/21)....A pregame ceremony prior to yesterday's Orioles-Dodgers game “honored fallen Maryland soldiers," whose family members were recognized as part of the Orioles Military Appreciation Program.
