    The MLS Dynamo signed President CHRIS CANETTI to a new three-year contract. Canetti, whose deal expired at the end of last year, joined the franchise in '06 as COO and was promoted to President in '10 (Dynamo).

    Garcia leaves IMG for start-up firm led by his former manager

    GOLF WORLD's Tim Rosaforte notes SERGIO GARCIA has left IMG for a "start-up company formed by his former day-to-day manager, CARLOS RODRIGUEZ, and longtime friend IREK MYSKOW, a broadcaster for Sky Sports Germany and a consultant for TaylorMade-adidas, Garcia's equipment sponsor" (GOLF WORLD, 3/4 issue).

    MELO APPROACH: Knicks F CARMELO ANTHONY appeared on PBS’ “Charlie Rose” last night, where host Charlie Rose noted Anthony’s wife, LA LA VASQUEZ, is a reality show star on VH1. Anthony noted he has a production company called Krossover Productions whose “first project” was a MIKE TYSON documentary which “got our feet wet.” Anthony: “I didn’t expect that to take off at all, but it did.” Rose said, “You didn’t go and say, ‘Look, we’ll go have somebody do this.’ You created a production company and said, ‘We’re going to take on serious projects.’” Anthony noted, “I don’t like taking on projects that don’t mean anything to me” (“Charlie Rose,” PBS, 2/27).

    COURT REPORTS: Agent DREW ROSENHAUS on Tuesday sued Ravens OT and former client BRYANT MCKINNIE in Miami-Dade Circuit Court. The suit claims that McKinnie “failed to make scheduled payments toward the $117,287 settlement account.” Rosenhaus is seeking the remaining amount “yet to be paid by McKinnie -- more than $85,000, plus interest” (MIAMI HERALD, 2/28)....Former WNBAer CHAMIQUE HOLDSCLAW is "being indicted in a November 2012 shooting." If convicted "on all counts, Holdsclaw faces up to 65 years in prison" (AP, 2/27)....A federal judge ruled that former NFLer BILL ROMANOWSKI is "on the hook for about" $5M in back taxes "stemming from a horse-breeding scheme he says he got caught up in" (DENVER POST, 2/28)....Federal authorities said that three Atlanta men are "accused of trafficking counterfeit Super Bowl XLVII tickets that were destined for New Orleans." U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement Officials said that "57 fake tickets and about $7,000 in counterfeit money were seized after a Jan. 31 traffic stop in Sumter, Ala., by the Alabama Department of Public Safety" (AP, 2/27).

    A NEW KIND OF SUMMER CAMP
    : Twenty-two current and former NFLers, including SHAUN ALEXANDER, DARRIUS HEYWARD-BEY, ALEX MACK, GERALD MCCOY and JARED ODRICK, will take part in the second annual NFL Pro Hollywood Boot Camp, which runs March 11-15 at Universal Studios in California and is being directed by NFL Player Engagement and Film Life (NFL).
