NBA Attendance Relatively Flat Compared To Prior Seasons; Kings Down In Sacramento
NBA teams are averaging 17,135 fans per game heading into All-Star Weekend, flat compared to same period during the lockout-shortened season in '11-12, but down slightly compared to same period during the '10-11 season. The Bulls lead all clubs with 21,736 fans per game, down slightly from previous seasons, but still enough to pack United Center to 103.9% capacity. The Nets' move to Brooklyn is paying dividends at the gate. The team is up an NBA-best 23% compared to last season, and up 22% compared to two seasons ago. With the Kings' future in Sacramento uncertain, the team is seeing attendance drop at Sleep Train Arena. The club's attendance is down an NBA-worst 10% to date. Listed below is NBA team-by-team attendance through Feb. 14, with comparisons to similar periods the last two seasons (THE DAILY).
