Execs Says NBA Benefits More Than Others From Use Of Social Media For Publicity
Sports execs believe the NBA has benefited the most from using social media to generate publicity for itself and its athletes, according to data from a Turnkey Sports Poll conducted in January. Thirty-two percent of respondents said that the NBA has benefited the most, followed by MLB and the NFL at 16% each. Execs also overwhelmingly felt that Twitter was the social media outlet that will have the biggest impact on sports properties’ business in ’13. Seventy-four percent of execs said Twitter would have the biggest impact, followed by Facebook at 15% and Instagram at 3% (Turnkey).
