CAA Sports Signs Projected Top NFL Draft Picks Luke Joeckel And Manti Te'o

CAA Sports has signed Texas A&M OT Luke Joeckel, who some analysts project as the No. 1 pick in April’s NFL Draft. CAA Football co-Head and NFL player agent Ben Dogra will lead his representation at CAA Sports. Dogra said, “What makes him unique is his blend of power and athleticism. This is a guy who can beat you on the football field in multiple ways.” Joeckel this year won the Outland Trophy as the nation's best lineman. Also signing with CAA Sports is Notre Dame LB Manti Te'o. CAA Football co-Head and NFL player agent Tom Condon will lead the team representing Te'o, who finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting (Liz Mullen, SportsBusiness Journal). Meanwhile, Kansas State QB Collin Klein, who finished third in Heisman voting, has signed for representation with Authentic Athletix, an agency "owned and operated by Peter Schaffer" (PROFOOTBALLTALK.com, 1/8).

OTHER SIGNINGS: Lammi Sports Management has signed Packers LB Desmond Bishop and his wife, Geeta, to marketing, media and endorsement agreements. Geeta Bishop is the co-host of "The Better Half," a talk show that airs in Wisconsin (Lammi Sports Management)....Golfer Charlie Beljan, who won the '12 PGA Tour Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic, has signed with IMG for management and marketing representation (THE DAILY).
