The Grizzlies named ESPN NBA analyst JOHN HOLLINGER VP/Basketball Operations and Lagardère Unlimited VP/Basketball STU LASH Dir of Player Personnel & Basketball Development. Hollinger has been with ESPN since '05 and "developed the Player Efficiency Rating, a figure that attempts to combine all of a players' contributions into one number." The PER "has its critics but is widely revered by basketball executives." Lash has been with Lagardère since '09, and spent five seasons with the Nuggets "working with the front office and coaching staff." Grizzlies Team Services Manager CHANTAL HASSARD "will assume the expanded role" of Team Operations Dir (Memphis COMMERCIAL APPEAL, 12/14).

EXECS: The PGA Tour promoted Web.com Tour Senior VP/Tournament Business Affairs JEFF MONDAY to the newly-created position of PGA Tour Canada President (PGA Tour)....Cal State Fullerton named former Hawaii AD JIM DONOVAN to the same position. Donovan will be "working with a tight budget within a cash-strapped" system. Fullerton "has an operating budget of roughly" $9M (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 12/14)....Miami (Ohio) Univ. named Univ. of South Dakota AD DAVID SAYLER to the same position. He will begin his new duties in early January (Miami).
