Bulls Negotiating Naming-Rights Deal For New Practice Facility; Adidas Reportedly In Talks

Bulls President & COO Michael Reinsdorf confirmed that the team "is negotiating the naming rights to the self-financed" practice facility scheduled to open for the '14-15 season, according to K.C. Johnson of the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. A source said that "one possibility" is adidas, which has an endorsement deal with Bulls G Derrick Rose. Johnson reports Reinsdorf and other front-office personnel "met with Adidas officials in Portland, Ore., on the Bulls' recent West Coast trip." The source said that the Bulls' new facility "could be called The Adidas Center." The Bulls are also "believed to be negotiating with other companies on the rights" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 11/30). In Chicago, Joe Cowley notes the practice facility will be "built in Parking Lot J, which sits east of the United Center across South Wood Street between Monroe and Madison Streets." The Bulls "have been practicing in the Berto Center since September 1992" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 11/30).
