KING OF THE BEACH: In N.Y., Bernie Augustine writes Long Beach State Univ. "recently unveiled a new look at the Walter Pyramid arena, a face-lift to the home of the school’s men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball programs that includes palm trees painted onto the court’s surface." The court, "outlined in black, features the school’s nickname 'The Beach' at center court."
