In Chicago, Matt McKinney reported Canton, Mass., resident KATHLEEN KEARNEY was arrested Monday and "charged with two counts of felony stalking" of Cubs President of Baseball Operations THEO EPSTEIN. A Cook County (Ill.) judge yesterday ordered her "held on $75,000 bail." Kearney recently "flew to Chicago and rented a red Ford Mustang," and googled Epstein's "Lake View mansion and plugged the address into the muscle car's GPS." Prosecutors said that around 10:00am CT Monday, Kearney "greeted Epstein's wife, who was in the front yard" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 7/18). Kearney told officers she "was only inviting Mr. Epstein to go to church" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 7/18).

TOUGH DECISIONS: In N.Y., Tim Rohan notes Brown Univ. has removed late Penn State Univ. football coach JOE PATERNO's "name from a coaching position and an annual award." The Joe Paterno Outstanding Male Freshman Athlete Award "had been given annually by the university" since '93. Brown also is "debating his status in the university's athletic hall of fame" (N.Y. TIMES, 7/18).

WINE & DINE: In N.Y., Ligaya Mishan reviewed Knicks announcer and former NBAer WALT "CLYDE" FRAZIER's restaurant, Clyde Frazier's Wine and Dine, which opened in March. The main dining room is "relatively subdued," and the lounge contains "perhaps the most magical architectural feature of any restaurant in the city: a jewel-box half-basketball court, paneled in oak and encased in glass, for playing horse between appetizer and entree." Portions "are generous, although this does not always correlate with satisfaction." But the food "is beside the point." Mishan: "Notice that everyone around you is having a good time" (NYTIMES.com, 7/12).

THE CHARLIE HUSTLE SHOW? TLC has begun production on a reality series starring former MLBer PETE ROSE. The show, with a working title of "PETE ROSE AND KIANA KIM FAMILY PROJECT," will follow Rose and his model fiance KIANA KIM "through their daily lives as they try to blend their families." Rose said that the show will "afford him the opportunity to clear up misconceptions that he believes the public has about him." TLC is planning to "air five episodes of the show later this year" (EW.com, 7/17)

NAMES: Former NFLer HINES WARD attended the Pittsburgh premiere of "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES," partially shot in the city last summer, at the Byham Theater Downton. Legendary Entertainment CEO & Steelers investor THOMAS TULL, who co-produced the movie, "hosted the screening as a salute to Pittsburgh" (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 7/18)....The Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center in Truckee, Calif., had its formal opening yesterday. Among those attending the facility's dedication was NFL Senior Adviser to the Commissioner JOE BROWNE (THE DAILY)....Several Fulton County (Ga.) residents are opposing a push to change the name of Scarborough Road to honor Panthers QB CAM NEWTON, who has family living there. Residents at a hearing last week said that it would "cost them money to change their personal records and that Newton, age 23, is too young to have a thoroughfare named for him" (AJC.com, 7/17)....Patriots Owner ROBERT KRAFT yesterday hosted a party at his home to celebrate the launch of the Kraft Center for Community Health at Partners HealthCare (BOSTON GLOBE, 7/18)....BROADCASTING & CABLE has announced is '12 HOF class, and the honorees include Turner President of Sales, Distribution & Sports DAVID LEVY and ESPN Exec VP & Chief Technology Officer CHUCK PAGANO. Honorees will be inducted during a gala on Oct. 29 in N.Y. (BROADCASTING & CABLE, 7/16 issue).
