MLB's All-Star Game Statue Program To Pay Homage To Royals' Crown Logo

MLB’s annual All-Star Game statue program this year will feature crowns, taken from the Royals logo, in a nod to the locale of the '12 Midsummer Classic in K.C. Already for sale on www.shop.mlb.com are four different 6.5-inch figurines from Forever Collectibles, priced at $24.99. The full-sized statues weigh more than 1,000 pounds each and will be displayed during All-Star Week at five locations around the host city. In past years, MLB’s ASG statue program drew inspiration from the Statue of Liberty in N.Y., the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Mickey Mouse in Anaheim and cacti for last year's game in Phoenix.
