Wasserman Media Group Inks Consensus No. 1 NBA Draft Pick Anthony Davis
Davis was said to have also been considering CAA Sports and BDA Sports
Wasserman Media Group is ready to begin talking to prospective sponsors for consensus No. 1 NBA Draft prospect Anthony Davis after signing him late Friday to a comprehensive management agreement. "We are excited to begin talking to all the prospective companies on Monday,” said Wasserman Vice Chair Arn Tellem, who will co-represent Davis with Wasserman NBA player agent Thad Foucher. Davis chose Wasserman after a long agent interview process in which he was said to be also considering CAA Sports and BDA Sports. Tellem would not comment on the agent selection process, except to say, “All’s well that ends well. For us, it doesn’t matter how long it took. We are thrilled to have him.” On Friday, Davis tweeted, “Today was a good day. Finally got the agent part out of the way. Now I can focus on getting in the gym and working hard.”
