Executive Transactions

MLB Commissioner BUD SELIG has quietly altered the title of longtime Exec VP/Labor Relations & HR ROB MANFRED, with his new title listed as Exec VP/Economics & League Affairs. The new moniker reflects the heightened responsibility Manfred has assumed within MLB, particularly since the '10 departure of former League President & COO BOB DUPUY. In addition to his customary duties managing MLB's overall relationship with the MLBPA, Manfred over the past year was the league's point person on the Dodgers bankruptcy saga (Eric Fisher, SportsBusiness Journal).
