Jets QB TIM TEBOW announced that he is partnering with Braves 3B CHIPPER JONES "to open a D1 Sports training facility in Orlando." In N.Y., Kevin Armstrong notes the facility "plans to house an indoor turf field and a state-of-the-art weight room." There will also be a "sports medicine and therapy clinic run by Orlando Orthopaedic Center, which is also an owner." Jones said, "I haven't met Tim. I hope to in the very near future. ... I'm a long-time loyal Gator, and he can do no wrong in my eyes" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 6/7).

ON THE PAYROLL: NFL Giants coach TOM COUGHLIN's new three-year contract with the club, reportedly worth $20M, makes him the third highest-paid coach in the league, behind the Patriots' BILL BELICHICK and the Redskins' MIKE SHANAHAN. Coughlin had one year remaining on the four-year extension he signed after the Giants won Super Bowl XLII following the '07 season (N.Y. POST, 6/7)....Kansas State Univ. yesterday gave AD JOHN CURRIE a two-year contract extension through '17-18. The deal increases Currie's annual salary to $450,000 and could see him make as much as $750,000 in incremental bonuses over the life of the contract. Currie was one of the lowest-paid ADs in the Big 12 and his new deal "puts him in the middle of the pack" (K.C. STAR, 6/7).
