Average Cost For Family To Attend Minor League Baseball Up Slightly, Still Affordable

Minor League Baseball said its average cost for a family of four to attend a minor league game this year is $61.23, 2.4% above last year. The figure includes the cost of two adult tickets, two children tickets, four hot dogs, two sodas, two beers, a program and parking. The average costs break down to $69.07 for Class AAA clubs, $61.57 for Class AA clubs, $61.62 for full-season Class A clubs and $54.28 for short-season Class A and Rookie clubs. As in prior years, MiLB execs praised the affiliated clubs' commitment to affordability, particularly in relation to other entertainment options. "This is a reaction to and understanding of the market and what our fans want, need and can tolerate," said MiLB President & CEO Pat O'Conner. "The clubs have been very aggressive in keeping this product affordable so it makes it hard not to keep coming back."
