NEIL GLAT is leaving the NFL league office to be Jets President, sources said. The development,
first reported in the N.Y. Post this morning, is expected to be formally announced later today by the team. Glat currently is NFL Senior VP/Corporate Development, where he handles special projects, including the venture capital fund. At the Jets, he assumes the roles held by
MATT HIGGINS and
THAD SHEELY, who left the team earlier this year. It is unclear how the NFL will replace Glat, who has been with the league since '97. Prior to that, he was with McKinsey & Co.
