Yahoo Sports Uniques Down In Feb.; USA Today Sports Up With Big Lead Acquisition

Yahoo Sports in February again topped the comScore monthly rankings of U.S. online sports destinations with 50.68 million unique users, 8% below its January total. But the USA Today Sports Media Group continued its run of sharp growth, rising to the fourth slot with 24.29 million uniques in the first metrics report since its January acquisition of Big Lead Sports. FoxSports.com, meanwhile, ranked second ahead of ESPN.com for the second consecutive month and extended its lead over its key rival. The gap between the two in January was just 353,000 unique users, but in January, the margin grew more than twelvefold to 4.28 million.
