MLB Network In 67.7 Million U.S. Homes As Spring Training Gets Underway

MLB Network is in 67.7 million homes as Spring Training gets under way in Arizona and Florida, up 22% compared to the same time last year. The year-over-year gains for March are the most among any U.S. cable network in the time frame. ESPN leads sports nets with just over 99.0 million homes, down 1.1% from March '11. With NCAA March Madness on the schedule this month, TBS, TNT and truTV are all down slightly from last year, but each net remains distributed in at least 92 million homes. Speed is seeing gains as the NASCAR season gets underway, with distribution up 3.5% since the start of the year. For the second straight month, Nickelodeon/Nick At Nite remains the only cable net in more than 100 million homes. Listed below are the top 10 U.S. cable nets in distribution for the month of March, with comparisons to previous years during the same period. Also listed is distribution for networks carrying sports content in March.
