Ice, Ice Baby: CBS Sports Network Signs On To Carry National Collegiate Hockey Conference

CBS Sports Network signed a multiyear deal to carry games from the National Collegiate Hockey Conference starting with the '13-14 season. A formal announcement is expected later today. The deal makes the net the conference's exclusive national TV partner. Financials are not known, but deal terms have the cable channel televising at least 18 conference games per year, including semifinal and championship games. Conference schools include Colorado College, the Univ. of Denver, Miami Univ., the Univ. of Minnesota-Duluth, the Univ. of Nebraska-Omaha, the Univ. of North Dakota, St. Cloud State Univ. and Western Michigan Univ. CBS Sports Network already has deals for other college hockey conferences -- Hockey East, ECAC, CCHA, WCHA and Atlantic Hockey.
