Sports Execs Say Dynamic Ticket Pricing Is Next Trend For College Sports

Sports execs feel that dynamic ticket pricing is the next major business trend in collegiate athletics that will be directly modeled after pro sports, according to results from a Turnkey Sports Poll taken in November. Thirty-two percent of execs said dynamic ticket pricing would be the next trend, while 26% said in-house sponsorship departments and 18% said in-house ticket sales departments. Execs were also asked about their thoughts on the long-term impact of college conference realignment. Thirty-six percent of execs said that realignment would have a somewhat positive effect on attendance and ratings, compared to 29% saying it would have no effect. The majority of execs polled feel realignment would have some sort of negative effect on non-revenue sports (THE DAILY).
