SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL's Tripp Mickle reports former NBC Dir of Olympic Sales MARK NOLAN joins ESPN this week as VP/X Games Sales. Nolan, who will report to ESPN Exec VP/Multimedia Sales ERIC JOHNSON, "will manage a small marketing and sales staff and will play a role in hiring members of his team." Nolan at NBC "developed sales and marketing plans for the 2010 Winter Olympics, the 2012 Summer Olympics, and the company’s winning bid for broadcast rights to the 2014 through 2020 Olympics" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 11/14 issue).

BIG MOVE OUT WEST: The Pac-12 has hired BRENT WILLMAN, a 25-year finance veteran, to be Senior VP/Finance & Accounting for Pac-12 Enterprises, the division of the conference that oversees the new networks, media and sponsorship. Pac-12 Enterprises President GARY STEVENSON is making the announcement of Willman’s hiring today. Willman comes to Pac-12 Enterprises after serving the last three years as Senior VP & CFO for The Oprah Winfrey Network and Discovery Communications. Prior to joining OWN, Willman was Senior VP & CFO for Game Show Network from ‘01-07. Willman will relocate from L.A. to the S.F. area and will begin his duties Nov. 21 (Pac-12).

: In this week's SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, Terry Lefton reports former MLB Properties chief RICK WHITE is back in sports licensing as an equity partner and principal at Strategic Marketing Affiliates, an Indianapolis-based licensing agency representing more than 230 colleges and universities. Meanwhile, ALEX GOMEZ is moving to Media Ventures Group, New York, as a VP. He had been with Van Wagner Sports since '03. Also, JIM DONOFRIO is now with NBC Sports in a sales and marketing role after a stint with CSE, where he had worked with MARK LAZARUS, now NBC Sports Group Chair (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 11/14 issue)....The Home Depot Center promoted KYLE WATERS to VP/Events & Operations and KRISTEN ANDERSON to Dir of Event Sales (The Home Depot Center).
