MLS averaged 291,000 viewers for regular-season matches this season across ESPN and ESPN2, up 15% from an average of 253,000 viewers last season. The June 26 Red Bulls-Fire match on ESPN marked the most-viewed game of the season with 622,000 viewers. The season-opening Galaxy-Sounders FC match on March 15 was the only other telecast to top the half-million viewer mark (604,000 viewers on ESPN).
