PGA of America Hires Former WNBA President Orender For Women's Campaign

Orender will manage Golf 2.0: Connecting with Her initiative
Former WNBA President DONNA ORENDER “was hired by the PGA of America to consult on the organization's Golf 2.0: Connecting with Her initiative to grow the game among women,” according to Garry Smits of the FLORIDA TIMES-UNION. Golf 2.0 is a “long-range strategic plan launched by the PGA of America for the golf industry to substantially increase the number of golfers, the rounds of golf played and the revenue over the next decade among current and potential consumers of the game.” Orender will assist in “developing ways to grow women's participation, identify and shape female-specific programming and create a welcoming environment for more women to enter the game.” Orender recently founded Orender Unlimited, “a marketing, media and strategy company based in Jacksonville Beach” (FLORIDA TIMES-UNION, 9/25). Prior to joining the WNBA in '05, Orender spent 17 years working for the PGA Tour (THE DAILY).
