Phillies Continue MLB Attendance Lead; Pirates, Giants Maintain Strong Gains
The Phillies continue to lead all MLB clubs in home attendance with 45,522 fans per game at Citizens Bank Park through Aug. 23, up 1.1% from the same period last year. The Pirates and Giants are seeing the biggest jumps at the gate among NL clubs, and are among only five MLB clubs seeing double-digit percentage gains at home. The Brewers also are seeing a healthy 6.5% jump at the gate while building a 10-game lead in the NL Central. The Dodgers are seeing the sharpest attendance drop in MLB, down 17.7% at Chavez Ravine. During their final season at Sun Life Stadium, the Marlins are tied for last among MLB clubs in terms of percent capacity for home games (46.8%).
