MLB Attendance Remains Flat Heading Into Final Month; AL Gate Up 1%

MLB teams are averaging 30,294 fans per game through Aug. 23, flat compared to the same period last year. AL clubs are seeing a 1% increase to date, fueled by double-digit percentage gains at home for the Rangers, Blue Jays and Indians. The Twins and Red Sox continue to fill their venues to at least 100% capacity, while the Orioles and Blue Jays are two of only four MLB clubs drawing under 50% capacity. The Mariners and Rays continue to see sharp drops at home. Listed below is AL attendance through Aug. 23, with comparisons to the same period last year. See tomorrow's issue of THE DAILY for NL figures (THE DAILY).
