NBA GameTime App Downloads Skewed Young During First Quarter Of '11

The majority of users downloading the NBA GameTime app during Q1 were under the age of 34, according to a study by Nielsen Media Research as part of its App Playbook report for Q1 of ’11. Consumers were asked which sports-related apps they downloaded over a 30-day period. Sixty-one percent of users downloading the GameTime app were under the age of 34. By comparison, the CBS Sports app skewed toward an older audience, with those over the age of 34 representing 57% of its user base. Listed below are the top five sports apps downloaded in Q1, broken down by age segment (Nielsen Media Research).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft
