Sports Execs Feel Indy 500 Is On The Decline, But Remains Most Prestigious Race

Sports industry execs feel the stature of the Indianapolis 500 on the U.S. sports scene is on the decline, but most still think it remains the most prestigious motorsports race, according to a Turnkey Sports poll conducted in April. Forty-nine percent of execs polled feel the stature of the Indianapolis 500 is on the decline in the U.S., while 37% feel it is holding its own. Execs were also asked which race they thought was the most prestigious in all of motorsports, with 41% responding the Indianapolis 500 and 33% saying NASCAR's Daytona 500 (THE DAILY).
