Executve Transactions

The Bills on Friday announced that they promoted Assistant GM & Dir of Pro Personnel DOUG WHALEY to Assistant GM & Dir of Player Personnel. Whaley, heading into his 16th NFL season, will report directly to Exec VP & GM BUDDY NIX (Bills). In Boston, Greg Bedard wrote Whaley's promotion "was overdue since Buddy Nix was hired" last year. Whaley will "likely be the next power broker in the AFC East," and by promoting him, the 72-year-old Nix "now can groom his successor" (BOSTON GLOBE, 5/8).

Mohajir, a KU alumnus, replaces BEN KIRTLAND, "who Friday asked for a 57-month sentence relating to his role in the KU ticket scandal." Mohajir is the "second person that KU has hired to replace someone involved in the ticket scandal" (K.C. STAR, 5/9)....Atlanta-based CSE has promoted NED SIMON to Senior VP/Programming & Media Services and named the following Account Dirs: CHRIS BAUMGARTNER for AT&T, BERKLEY EGENES for Kellogg's and CHELSEA ETHERIDGE for Coca-Cola (CSE).
