Gilbert joins New Zealand-based Time-7 Sport as President & CEO
Former USA Triathlon CEO and NGB Council Chair SKIP GILBERT has been named President & CEO of Time-7 Sport, a New Zealand-based company specializing in timing and data capture products. He will open the company's first U.S. office in Colorado Springs and oversee its expansion into North and South America. Prior to USA Triathlon, Gilbert worked at USA Swimming, U.S. Soccer, the Arena Football League and several sports publications (Tripp Mickle, SportsBusiness Journal).

EXECS: The CBC has hired JEFFREY ORRIDGE as Exec Dir of Sports Properties, replacing SCOTT MOORE. Orridge "will oversee the public broadcaster's TV sports division, including partnerships and rights acquisitions, effective April 4" (HOLLYWOODREPORTER.com, 3/7)....R&A Dir of Championships DAVID HILL, who "has effectively organised" the British Open Championship for the last 30 years, has retired, effective immediately. The departure leaves the R&A "minus a vital cog in its wheel with this year's Open Championship, at Royal St George's, just over four months away" (SCOTSMAN.com, 3/8)....Nike has tapped Dir of Global Sports Communications DEAN STOYER to serve as Global Communications Dir for the Nike Foundation (THE DAILY)....Former U.S. Rep. MARTIN SABO was named Friday to the Minnesota Ballpark Authority, the public body that owns Target Field (STARTRIBUNE.com, 3/4)....The Oregon Sports Authority has elected Northwest Strategies, Inc. President LEN BERGSTEIN as President. The OSA also elected Univ. of Oregon AD ROB MULLENS as a Director (OSA)....Eagles Salary Cap Analyst ADAM KATZ has left the team. He has been replaced by DERRON HARRIS, who was named Manager of Football Administration (YARDBARKER.com, 3/6)....The CFL Winnipeg Blue Bombers have named DAVID ASPER and PHIL SHEEGL to their BOD. Asper is a member of the Faculty of Law at the Univ. of Manitoba, and Sheegl currently serves as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Winnipeg (Blue Bombers).
