Comcast Corp. has hired National Cable & Telecommunications Association President & CEO KYLE MCSLARROW as President of Comcast/NBC Universal in DC. McSlarrow will lead Comcast's lobbying and government-affairs office in DC, where he will have "operational responsibilities related to customer service and product innovation." McSlarrow, who begins in early April, will report to Comcast Exec VP DAVID COHEN and work with Comcast Cable President NEIL SMIT and NBC Universal President & CEO STEVE BURKE (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 3/10).
BACK TO SCHOOL: IMG College has named TOM STULTZ Senior VP & Managing Dir for College Media. Stultz, who held a similar position with IMG College before its acquisition of ISP Sports in October, will oversee the company's multimedia rights business. He will oversee the IMG College Media leadership team, which will include Senior VP/Collegiate Properties Sales DOUG GILLIN and Senior VP/Operations JOE POTTER (IMG College).
EXECS: Falcons GM THOMAS DIMITROFF yesterday "signed a multi-year contract extension." The team has posted a 33-15 record since Dimitroff took over in '08, which is "tied for the third best in the NFL over the past three seasons" (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 3/10)....Empire Sports & Entertainment Holdings Co. has elected Innovative Strategic Management Partner BOB GUTKOWSKI to its BOD (Empire Sports)....Texas State Univ. has promoted Student Development Specialist LAURIE HINDSON to Assistant AD & Dir of the Athletic Academic Center (Texas State)....The Int'l Association of Venue Managers has named JOHN BOLTON 2nd Vice Chair. Bolton is GM of the BOK Center and Tulsa Convention Center (IAVM).
