English Premier League Attendance Up 1.5% Through Feb. 22
EPL clubs are averaging 34,616 fans per game through Feb. 22, up 1.5% from the same period a year ago. A portion of the gains can be attributed to the strong numbers for Newcastle, which returned to the EPL one year after being relegated to the lower level Championship League. Manchester United continues to lead all clubs with 75,008 fans per game at Old Trafford, flat compared to the same point last year. Fulham is seeing the best year-over-year gains, up 4.3%. Currently facing the prospect of relegation, West Ham United (-15.8%) and Wigan Athletic (-9.6%) are seeing the sharpest drop among EPL clubs. Listed below is club-by-club attendance for the EPL through Feb. 22, with comparisons to the same period a year ago (THE DAILY).
