WMG Enters Global Media Rights Business Through Acquisition Of Reel Enterprises

Wasserman Media Group has entered the global media rights business through the acquisition of U.K.-based Reel Enterprises, a media and sports rights organization. As part of the deal, Reel co-Founders DAVID KOGAN and SARA MUNDS will join WMG to develop a global media rights practice based in London. In their new roles as Principals of Global Media Rights, the two will report to WMG Chair & CEO CASEY WASSERMAN. Kogan and Munds, who founded Reel 13 years ago, will join the WMG
Executive Team, collaborating closely with the company's U.S.-based
Consulting Group headed by Principal MALCOLM TURNER, who oversees the
stateside Properties & Media business. Reel Enterprises, including N.Y.-based President KATIE BOES, will join WMG as part of the Global Media Rights business, reporting to Kogan and Munds. Reel has worked for the EPL, England's Football League, the Scottish Premier League, Premier Rugby, the NFL in the U.K. and the IOC in Europe (THE DAILY).
