MiLB's Greenville Drive Take Top Prize At National Sports Forum's ADchievement Awards

Attendees at last week’s National Sports Forum selected the winners of the 8th Annual NSF ADchievement Awards, recognizing the best sports-themed advertising. More than 700 senior-level execs from throughout the sports industry were in attendance at the NSF in Louisville this year, where attendees voted on more than 500 ads from the sports industry that were under consideration. For having the highest quality of advertising across all categories, the Single-A South Atlantic League Greenville (S.C.) Drive were presented with the ‘11 NSF ADchievement Overall Award of Excellence. The other categories and winners were:


• Television – San Jose Earthquakes

• Radio – Greenville Drive

• Print – Milwaukee Brewers Community Foundation

• In Stadium/In Arena – Cleveland Indians

• Out-of-Home – Greenville Drive

• Sales Collateral – Orlando Magic

• Alternative Media – Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment


TROPHY CASE: Also at last week’s conference, the NSF selected a Univ. of Louisville team as the winner of the fifth annual Case Cup Competition, which allows sports Master's and sports MBA students to compete in a case study. A four-person team from UL captured this year’s Cup for a study focused on increasing awareness and fundraising for the Muhammad Ali Center, besting competition from Univ. of South Carolina and Canisius College teams.
