Rolapp's will oversee all NFL media business in new position as NFL Media COO
The NFL has made "three staffing moves in its senior executive ranks," including naming BRIAN ROLAPP NFL Media COO, as the league "seeks to further streamline its media and sponsorship businesses," according to Eric Fisher of SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL. Rolapp, previously NFL Senior VP/Digital Media & Media Strategy, “will now also assume oversight for revenue generation across all of the league’s media business, including digital media, NFL Network, advertising sales and sponsorship efforts.” In addition, HANS SCHROEDER has been promoted to Senior VP/Media Business Development, while JEFF BERMAN, a former MySpace exec and DC-based lawyer, has been hired as the new GM of NFL.com. Berman will be based in L.A. and replaces LAURA GOLDBERG, who left late last year and is now VP/Product for ticketing startup ScoreBig. Berman will report to Rolapp, as will Schroeder and Senior VP/Media Sales & Sponsorship KEITH TURNER. Rolapp will remain based in the league’s N.Y. HQs, reporting to NFL Exec VP/Media STEVE BORNSTEIN (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 1/17 issue).
