    TCU's Move To Big East Means Conference As A Whole Will Now Have 17 Teams

    A Mountain West Conference spokesperson said that under conference bylaws, TCU "will not have to pay an exit fee" when the school leaves to join the Big East Conference beginning in the '12-13 season, according to Richard Durrett of ESPN DALLAS. The same policy applied to Utah and BYU earlier this year "when both notified the MWC of their intentions to leave." TCU had to "notify the league by Sept. 1 to leave for the 2011-12 season." Having missed that deadline, TCU "will leave on July 1, 2012, the same time Nevada and Fresno State enter the Mountain West from the WAC, for the 2012-13 season."
