Lacob (l) And Gruber Receve Standing Ovation During Introduction At Last Night's Game
New Warriors co-Owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber yesterday at a luncheon in S.F. "presented a candid message filled with passion for the game and acumen for business that gave the sense of better days ahead," according to Rusty Simmons of the S.F. CHRONICLE. Lacob: "The Celtics and the Lakers have fantastic histories, but there is no reason in the world that we can't be as successful as those teams." Guber referred to former Warriors Owner Chris Cohan, saying, "We're not the cure for cancer, but we might be the cure for Cohan."
