Turnstile Tracker: NFL Seeing Marginal Drop In Attendance

NFL teams are averaging 67,695 fans per game through Week Six, down 0.2% from the same period last year. NFC clubs are averaging 68,558 fans per game, down 0.6%. The Buccaneers and Rams are both seeing double-digit percentage dips in average attendance, down 15.7% and 13.0%, respectively. The Cowboys' attendance is down 10.2% because of the team’s reduction in the number of standing-room-only tickets. The club is still packing Cowboys Stadium to 109.9% of its capacity. The Lions are seeing the biggest jump in the NFC. The team is averaging 56,201 fans through its first two games at Ford Field, up 7.7% from the comparable period last year.
