Cable Connection
Disney and Time Warner Cable have agreed to a long-term deal, ensuring TWC and Bright House Network customers uninterrupted service just as football season kicks off. The agreement will see the creation of several new ESPN-branded services, including ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater. The RedZone-type channels will feature highlights of college football and college basketball games and will appear on TWC’s sports tier. The channels will be made available to other distributors as well. As part of their new agreement, ESPN also will allow Time Warner Cable to stream the full linear channels of ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU for the first time. In addition, TWC customers gain access to ESPN3, and the Worldwide Leader will make some of the broadband channel’s content available on the cable provider's sports tier.
