  • MLB Attendance Down Slightly Heading Toward End Of Season

    MLB is averaging 30,231 fans per game heading into the final month of the season, slightly down from the same period a year ago. Among AL clubs, average attendance is off 1.5%, with 11 of 14 teams down at home to date. The Indians are seeing the sharpest drop at home among all MLB clubs, down 22.4% at Progressive Field. During the inaugural season of Target Field, Twins home attendance has jumped an MLB-best 37.1%. Despite a slight decline in attendance for the Red Sox, Fenway Park continues to be filled at 100.8% capacity for each home game. Listed below is team-by-team home attendance for AL clubs, with comparisons to the same period in '09. See tomorrow's issue of THE DAILY for NL figures (THE DAILY).
