Belmont Stakes Fails To Draw Double-Digit Rating In Any Market
No U.S. metered market hit double-digit ratings for ABC's coverage of the Belmont Stakes for the first time since '07. Among the top 10 markets for Saturday's telecast, only three saw year-over-year gains for this year's race, which was run without a horse pursuing the Triple Crown and without the winners of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes. Louisville topped all metered markets for the Belmont, making the city the highest-rated U.S. market for all three Triple Crown races this year. Still, the city's ratings dropped almost 50% from a year ago.
