But not this year, not in the wake of Goodell's suspension of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger" (N.Y. TIMES).

In a front-page piece for the WASHINGTON POST, Emily Wax writes in India, "The quest for athletic success has become a matter of national pride in this increasingly confident and prosperous country. … The Indian government is pouring millions into efforts to produce world-class athletes and build state-of-the-art sports complexes" (WASHINGTON POST).
