Sports Illustrated, ESPN The Magazine and Runner's World saw healthy gains in advertising revenue during Q1 of this year compared to the same period in '09, according to data from Publishers Information Bureau. SI was up 9.6% for the first three months of '10, taking in almost $135M in ad revenue. The magazine also saw a 7.2% uptick in ad pages during the same period. Many sports publications, however, are still seeing declines in ad revenue. Transworld's four sports publications -- Snowboarding, Skateboarding, Motocross and Surf -- all saw double-digit declines in ad revenue during the Q1. Golf Digest, Golf World, Cycle World, Ski, Tennis, Skiing and SI for Kids also saw similar double-digit drops.
